Hyperice
When Hyperice acquired NormaTec and folded its family of devices into the Hyperice ecosystem, I had no idea of the branding challenges that were on the horizon. From finding creative ways to temporarily merge the NormaTec brand into the Hyperice brand despite major differences in brand aesthetic, to implementing a full rebrand and updated design system, the work was ever-evolving and uniquely challenging. Here are some select projects.
2020 - 2022
Product Catalog
In 2022, Hyperice unveiled multiple new products and updated each of its legacy device lines, sans the Hypersphere. The product catalog was therefore leaned upon to convey this upgrade in both technology and the brand’s commitment to innovation in the athletic recovery space.

Event Booths
Following Hyperice’s acquisition of NormaTec in 2020, the need to reskin the NormaTec trade show booth I had rendered and designed the year prior arose. All booth graphics were updated to reflect the change in brand, and the look and feel from this project informed several different booth designs in international markets.

Hyperflux Logo
Although the name ‘Normatec’ is synonymous with dynamic air compression sleeves in the US, it did not have much appeal when focus tested in the Chinese market. Hyperice renamed the product “Hyperflux” for the Chinese rollout of the Normatec 2.0 product line and needed a logo that produced easily on the sleeve, was bold enough to be legible in photographs, and felt connected to the Hyperice brand (prior to the 2021 rebrand).
Role: Design
Retail Design
As Hyperice began to enter big-box retailers in 2020, I became the lead designer for all retail and point of purchase displays, designing both graphics and layouts for stores such as Best Buy, Harrod’s (UK), Nordstrom, Scheel’s, and Target.

Hypervolt 2 Series: Behind the Design
Using early prototype sketches and renderings, I cobbled together a “Behind the Design” social media post for the Hypervolt 2 and Hypervolt 2 Pro. These carousels were also adapted into emails.

Quick Start Guides
Role: Illustration
For all product quick start guides, I illustrated devices and the usage steps depicted within each guide.
Naomi Osaka Custom Hypervolt
As one of Hyperice’s earliest athlete investors, Naomi Osaka was gifted a custom Hypervolt unlike any other to date. Based on some anime-inspired drawings by Naomi’s younger sister, I illustrated Naomi in a similar style and we wrapped the design around the Hypervolt. We also customized the gift box and her carry case to reflect her personal brand.
